Area Sales Manager, France

We are currently seeking

Area Sales Manager

to our Oudenaarde unit in Belgium or working from home office in France.  


Task and responsibilities

The objective of this position is to win business, drive sales projects and make agreements with selected customers/customer segments in selected geographical area.

• The Area Sales Manager’s main responsibilities are
Exel Order Intake and revenues growth in a geographical area from selected customer segments / customers. Actively seek out and engage new customer relationships using cold call techniques, business directories, prospects, onsite field visits etc. The product and application portfolio is defined case by case. Default is that the whole Exel product portfolio is in scope.

• Other responsibilities are
Creating the Exel sales and account plans for the selected customers, derived from the Exel Regional Sales and Marketing plan and strategy, and implementing it.
Give actively input to the planning and implementation of marketing activities in the region.

The Area Sales Manager reports to Head of Sales Region, South and West Europe & IMEA.


Minimum Requirements/Qualification

• 3+ years of experience in outside sales in an industrial environment
• Must be a self-starter
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills with the ability to persuade and influence others to close sales cases
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team
• Understanding or ability to learn composite technology
• Experience from project management and/or product development is beneficial
• Willingness and ability to travel with flexible schedules as required to achieve objectives. Driving license is needed
• Fluent spoken and written French and English. Other languages are beneficial
