Composites help lower vehicle weight, provide strength, and reduce manufacturing supply chain complexity. They allow for design flexibility, where multiple parts or functions can be integrated into one composite part.

Our wide range of carbon fiber, fiberglass and hybrid composite profiles are used both externally and internally on

cars, buses, trams, trains, and trucks and trailers. From ceiling panels to heating ducts, from bus rails to exterior panels.

With over 50 years’ experience in composite technology, we understand the unique material properties that combination of different fibers and resins can yield. Working together with our customers, we design, manufacture and deliver cost efficient composite solutions that provide the strength, durability, mechanical properties, and fire resistance required by the transportation industry.

We specialize in pultrusion and pullwinding production technologies, as well as continuous lamination processes for thin sheets, and use a variety of reinforcing fibers, including glass, carbon and natural fibers, and polyester, epoxy, and polyurethane resins.

Our expertise in composites and manufacturing technologies create design freedom for transportation engineers. We design and manufacture the largest and most complex profiles on the market. We economically produce geometric shapes that are traditionally not possible or cost effective with metal alternatives. This reduces joints, seams and time needed to install the component in the vehicle.

Composites are excellent insulators. They have a warmer feel than metal, and do not experience the same condensation/freezing as metal. Our composite materials have a very low coefficient of thermal expansion and retain their shape in extreme cold and heat.

 

Withstand the elements

Our composites are corrosion and chemical resistant. Salt and acidic conditions do not affect or cause oxidation.

 

Impact tolerant

Sometimes things happen. Public transportation, parking lots, and depots are full of activity. Our composites are elastic materials that spring back into shape, and withstand the daily bumps common in these environments.
