Group Structure
Exel Group consists of the parent company Exel Composites Plc, which operates in Finland and six operating subsidiaries: Exel GmbH in Germany, Exel Composites N.V. in Belgium, Exel Composites GmbH in Austria, Exel Composites Australia in Australia, Exel Composites China in China and Exel Composites UK in the UK.
Subsidiaries
Exel acquired the then Solte GmbH's ski and snowboard coating operations in 1997. The company, Exel GmbH, operates in Voerde near the Dutch border.
Exel Composites N.V. was established in 2004 when Exel acquired the business operations of Bekaert's pultrusion operations. Exel Composites N.V. manufactures profiles mainly for the transportation and construction industries in Oudenaarde, Belgium.
Exel Composites GmbH was established in 2005 when Exel acquired the pultrusion business operations of Faserprofil GmbH. It manufactures special profiles for example for the electrical and mechanical industries as well as for railway and paper machine industries in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Exel acquired 100 per cent of the shares of the Australia-based Pacific Composites Pty. Ltd. in February 2006. The company, Exel Composites Australia, manufactures profiles in Brisbane and Melbourne in Australia.
Exel Composites China manufactures profiles in Nanjing, China and Exel Composites UK in Runcorn in the UK.
